One of the best baseball facilities in the state of South Carolina, Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park was opened in 2004. A Field of Dreams for USC Upstate ballplayers, the facility includes a practice infield and a facility with three batting cages along with the 500-seat stadium proper and a full press box.
The park was named in honor of local philanthropist and businesman, Cleveland S. Harley. Mr. Harley is a longtime supporter of the University and was an original member of the Spartanburg County Commission of Higher Education that was responsible for founding the institution. He and his family have been instrumental in the growth of the University and, in particular, the athletics program.
USC Upstate opened the Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park with the first game on Feb. 1, 2004, a doubleheader sweep of Tusculum.
Upstate's 10-3 win over Charleston Southern on May 7, 2009 marked the team's 100th win at Cleveland S. Harley Park. The Spartans would go on to claim the program's 150th victory at Harley Park with a 9-3 win over George Washington on Feb. 24, 2013. The program claimed the 200th win at Harley Park with a 6-3 win over La Salle on March 10, 2017 with the 250th and 300th wins at Harley Park coming versus Charleston Southern with wins on April 2, 2019 (11-7) and April 15, 2022 (13-8).
In 19 seasons at Harley Park, the Spartans have produced a 308-254-2Â (.548) record, with 21 of those wins coming against teams ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Top 30. The 2014 season saw Upstate post the school's first-ever victory over an SEC opponent at Harley Park when the Spartans posted an 8-6 come-from-behind victory over Kentucky (Feb. 17).
