Spangler Stadium

Ernest W. Spangler Stadium is the home of Gardner-Webb football and women's lacrosse.

Spangler Stadium was originally built in 1966 but was upgraded and expanded considerably prior to the start of the 2004 season to include the addition of a new Football Center, which houses football coaches’ offices, athletic weight facilities, president’s box, press box, and luxury suites. Coach Norman Harris Field was modernized significantly in 2014 with the installation of state-of-the-art artificial turf and shock pad technology manufactured by APT. Prior to the start of the 2020 season, a video board was installed to enhance the fan and athlete experience.

Earnest W. Spangler Stadium seats 8,500 fans, the 18th largest of the 125 current FCS Stadiums in the country
