MGCCC Facilities: Softball #intheblue

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has softball facilities that match any community college in the state of Mississippi. The school is committed to providing the best support for its student-athletes, as evidenced by the stadium at Ross-Smith Field, which openend in 2018, and the King Center, which opened in 2016. The playing surface was upgraded to artificial turf in 2023.

The new stadium at Ross-Smith Field seats about 300 people, including a reserved chairback section. Teams sit in sunken dugouts.
The stadium includes a new concession stand, ticket booth and press box, as well as a pavilion on a raised patio.
The indoor facility has four batting/pitching tunnels, which can be slid back for an open practice area.
The King Center contains the MGCCC Athletic Department offices. Classrooms are used by the entire student body, and all sports take advantage of the spacious Encore Rehabilitation/Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists Training Facility.
The training facility has the latest rehabilitation technology to treat bumps and bruises and get players back on the field quickly and safely.
There are multiple taping tables to get players ready for games and practices.
Eight different treatment tables are available for rehabilitation.
A cold tub helps rejuvenate bodies and get players ready for the next practice.
The Athletic Performance Facility has all the best equipment to get our student-athletes ready to play.
Strength training, injury prevention and speed development are goals of the MGCCC weight program.
Gulf Coast's core beliefs are developed from the ground up.
