Parking and Transportation Info

One of the top college baseball stadiums in the southeast, Jack Stallings Field at J.I. Clements Stadium serves as the home for the Eagle baseball program.

Renovated in 2005, the 3,000 seat stadium has played host to some of the largest crowds in Georgia Southern baseball history and ranked 46th in the country for total attendance in 2013. The stadium is named after former baseball coach, athletic business manager and athletic director J.I. Clements. Clements led the Eagles to their first national championship in 1962 and coached the baseball team from 1949-66 and again in 1968.

The groundbreaking for the newly-renovated stadium took place in May of 2004 but the first game was not played until the 2005 season. #13 Georgia Tech was the opponent on Feb.
12, 2005, when the Eagles opened the gates for the first time. The Yellow Jackets won the ball game 10-6. Georgia Southern earned their first home victory on Feb. 19, 2005 against George Washington. The field was named after former longtime head coach Jack Stallings on Feb. 19, 2005. Stallings is the winningest coach in Georgia Southern history and led the Eagles to the 1990 College World Series. Stallings also has his number 1 jersey retired on the outfield wall.

The stadium also features the Mason Clements Wall of Fame. The wall is named after Georgia Southern Athletics Hall of Fame member and former baseball player Mason Clements. The Wall of Fame honors former great baseball players and enshrines their names near the entrance to the stadium.

In addition to the playing field the players have superb facilities in the Wiggins Building and Ft. Knocks. The Wiggins Building is located above the third-base dugout and houses the coaches’ offices and the Eagles’ locker room. Ft. Knocks, the batting cages, are located behind the third-base bullpen down the third-base line.
