Coyote Gulch Park

Coyote Gulch Park and ball field

On the south slope of Green Mountain, this park offers foothills views and a wide variety of active recreation options.

Ample parking serves the competition baseball field and small playground, basketball court and play field. Much of the 44-acre park is undeveloped and is looped by a .9-mile paved trail with connections north to Solterra, Forsberg Park and William F. Hayden Park.

Bathrooms

Permanent bathrooms at Coyote Gulch Park are open.

Following the public meeting on May 2, 2019, the Lakewood Police Department is completing extensive research and collecting data including comparative analysis with other parks in the Lakewood system as well as researching best practices for mitigating the large number of service calls/safety concerns over the last several years.

In the meantime, the Lakewood Traffic Team has been assigned to monitor speeding on S. Gladiola Way as a result of resident feedback and the Community Action Team (CAT) members will be providing extra visibility in the park over the next several months.

The Lakewood Police Department and city staff will host a future public meeting if a new proposal needs to be presented to the neighborhood to mitigate concerns at Coyote Gulch Park. For more information, contact crinfo@lakewood.org

Coyote Gulch Park has one baseball filed and one soccer field available for rent.
