The Donald E. Young Center at Black Hills State University is a 172,000 square foot sports and fitness complex. The YC serves as the home venue for Yellow Jacket:

  • Women's Indoor Track & Field

The YC pulls in some of the largest attendances in the RMAC, consistently topping the conference in attendance numbers, and in the nation. In the 2021-22 season, men's basketball finished third in the nation in home attendance, averaging 1,919 fans per game and totaling 26,868 fans over 14 home games. Women's basketball ranked fifth in the nation with an attendance average of 1,099 while totaling 12,085 fans over 11 home games.

Built in 1990, the Young Center continues to be the hub of the Black Hills State University Campus. The only building of its kind in the immediate region, it is designed to serve the needs of the BHSU Athletics Department, the University and the greater Black Hills community.
