Belhaven Bowl Stadium

Belhaven Bowl Stadium

Surrounded by the Fine Arts Center, Heidelberg Gymnasium, Helen White Hall, Caldwell Hall, and Hood Library, the Belhaven Bowl Stadium contains the home field of the men's and women's soccer and football teams.

Located in the heart of the Belhaven University campus, this historic venue has undergone a $4 million transformation, including installation of a custom turf playing surface, comfortable chairback seating for 1200 and a state of-the-art Daktronics video board. Blazers Football now joins Men's and Women's Soccer at home, in the center of it all.

Construction for the Bowl Stadium began in April 2016. The Belhaven Football team officially opened the newly-renovated Stadium versus East Texas Baptist on October 1, 2016.

Belhaven's soccer and football programs had used the facilty for several years, prior to its transformation. Soccer had used the field for special games in recent years, but in 2014, the Belhaven's men's and women's soccer programs moved back to playing a full home schedule on campus in "The Bowl Stadium" after several seasons at Newell Field.

Although the football team had used "The Bowl Stadium" for practices and scrimmages in previous years, the Blazers Football team have officially made the move from Newell Field on Riverside Drive to play its regular season home games in Belhaven Bowl Stadium on campus.

Also used by various summer sports camps, the Belhaven Bowl Stadium is also the site of the famous Belhaven Singing Christmas Tree, the first outdoor singing Christmas tree in the United States, which has been held in its current location since 1964.
