Gyrene Field

Gyrene Field was built in 2013 and is home to the Ave Maria football, lacrosse as well as the men's and women's soccer programs. The facility is located across from the Tom Golisano Field House.

The field was replaced with new athletic turf in 2017 and the facility was outfitted with lights in 2018.  The Gyrenes have since played their games under the lights to capacity crowds on a regular basis.

The Gyrene football team played its memorable first game on the field on Oct. 12, 2013. Trailing by 10 in the final minute, the Gyrenes recovered an onside kick and scored two touchdowns in the final 60 seconds to steal a 45-41 win against NCAA Division II Florida Tech. The go-ahead touchdown came with less than a second remaining.

The Ave Maria lacrosse team began playing games at Gyrene Field in Spring 2016, their second season of competition and the men's and women's soccer programs have called Gyrene Field home since 2018.

The field has a seating capacity of 1,000 and includes a four-room press box. The field provides a unique opportunity for fans to be close to the action at a college football game with community members routinely driving golf carts right up to the rope barrier to watch the game.
